Overview
The Lincoln Medical School is developing a new independent undergraduate curriculum for validation by the GMC as part of ambitions to be added to the list of organisations who are approved to award primary medical qualifications. September 2025 marked the arrival of the first cohort of independent gateway year students, with students registered on the five‑year programme arriving in September 2026. This is part of the planned independence from the University of Nottingham. This new post, for an established senior clinician, will oversee the professional development of students on the six‑ and five‑year programmes, with a particular focus on developing professionalism skills and clinical reasoning.
Responsibilities
Oversee professional development of students on six‑ and five‑year programmes, focusing on professionalism skills and clinical reasoning.
Contribute to strategic development of the School, including new dental programmes, postgraduate delivery and scholarly outputs.
Maintain a clinically active role and serve on the Senior Management Team.
Qualifications
GMC registered with a current licence to practice.
Commitment to remaining clinically active throughout the position.
Experience as a senior clinician (GP, Consultant, SAS doctor) from a general medical specialty encouraged.
Enhanced DBS check required.
