The position offers a great work-life balance, competitive salary, and the chance to take on varied responsibilities within the practice. \n\nRole & Responsibilities:\n\nPreparation of financial statements for a diverse client base, including small to medium-sized businesses, sole traders, and partnerships\nPreparation and submission of corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, and VAT returns\nManagement of a portfolio of clients, building strong working relationships and providing excellent customer service\nAssisting with the preparation of management accounts and reports\nLiaising with HMRC on client matters and providing tax advice where necessary\nReviewing and supporting junior staff members\nManaging monthly and annual bookkeeping, financial reporting, and reconciliation tasks\nEnsuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations\nIdentifying opportunities for efficiency improvements within the firm's processes\nThe Ideal Candidate:\n\nFully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, FCCA)\nAt least 3 years of post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice\nStrong technical knowledge of accounting, tax, and VAT\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal\nAbility to manage a portfolio of clients and work independently\nHigh attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused approach\nExperience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) essential\nThe Ideal Candidate:\n\nFully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, FCCA)\nAt least 5 years of post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice\nStrong technical knowledge of accounting, tax, and VAT\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal\nAbility to manage a portfolio of clients and work independently\nAbility to lead and mentor a team.\nHigh attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused approach\nExperience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) is essential.\nAbility to work as part of a close-knit, family-oriented team\nHow to Apply:\n If you're a qualified accountant/practice manager looking for an exciting new challenge with the opportunity to join a growing, family-run business, we would love to hear from you, or (phone number removed)
