Job Title: Senior Accountant / Manager
Location: Remote (candidates must be based in Yorkshire or Surrey)
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Benefits
Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays
About the Role
Our client, a well-established and growing accountancy practice, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Manager to join their team. This is a fully remote role, offering flexibility while maintaining a strong regional presence, so applicants must be based in either Yorkshire or Surrey.
This position is ideal for a technically strong and commercially aware professional who enjoys managing client relationships, overseeing a team, and delivering high-quality accounting services.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and review of management accounts for a varied client portfolio
Overseeing the production of statutory financial year-end accounts
Managing and developing a portfolio of clients , acting as a key point of contact
Reviewing work prepared by junior and semi-senior staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Supervising, mentoring, and supporting team members to aid their development
Providing proactive advice and insights to clients to support their business growth
Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are consistently met
Requirements
ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
Proven experience within an accountancy practice environment
Strong experience with management accounts and year-end accounts preparation/review
Experience managing a client portfolio independently
Previous experience overseeing or managing a team and reviewing work
Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
