Job Title:  Cleaning Operative Location:  York Pay Rate:  £12.60 per hour Hours:  15–30 hours per week (shift-based) Positions Available:  Multiple Overview: Reed, in partnership with a well-established educational institution in York, is recruiting multiple Cleaning Operatives to join a committed facilities team. These roles are vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine cleaning tasks including mopping, sweeping, dusting, and vacuuming Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, classrooms, and communal areas Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels Empty bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with site procedures Follow health and safety guidelines and site-specific protocols Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor Work independently or collaboratively to meet cleanliness standards Requirements: Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential Flexibility to work shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude Reliable, punctual, a...
