Class 2 Road Sweeper

Proactive Personnel are recruiting for Class 2 Drivers on behalf of a specialist environmental waste company.
These roles are Temp to Perm positions and can take newly passed drivers.

Purpose of the role:
The main purpose of the Class 2 position is to operate specialist vehicles such as road sweepers, jet vac tankers, high pressure road jetters etc across the North West.

Duties:
- Operate a Class 2 road sweeper safely and professionally on public highways and customer sites
- Carry out daily vehicle checks (walk-around checks, fluid levels, lights, tyres, brushes, suction/pressure systems) and complete defect paperwork
- Conduct road sweeping/cleaning operations to planned routes and schedules, including reactive call-outs when required
- Adjust brushes, water jets and suction settings to suit road conditions and debris types
- Empty, dispose of, or transfer collected waste/debris in accordance with site rules and environmental procedures
- Liaise with planners/supervisors and provide accurate job updates, timesheets and completion records
- Use on-board controls and basic in-cab technology (where applicable) and report any faults promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle (cab and exterior) and ensure equipment is stored securely
- Comply with all road traffic laws, working time rules, health & safety and company policies
- Work courteously around the public and other road users, using signage, beacons and PPE as required

Please note these vehicles are left side steering and will be long hours, tacho not required
