Class 2 HIAB Driver – Builders Merchant (Kings Langley)
Salary: £36,000
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role:
Pertemps is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading builders merchant in Kings Langley for a qualified and customer-focused Class 2 HIAB Driver. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team, delivering building materials to a loyal customer base while operating a lorry-mounted crane (HIAB).
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle and HIAB (lorry-mounted crane)
* Load, transport, and unload building materials at customer sites using the crane
* Conduct daily vehicle and crane checks, reporting any issues promptly
* Deliver goods on time while providing excellent customer service
* Ensure loads are safely secured and comply with road safety regulations
* Assist in the yard or warehouse when required
Requirements:
* Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence
* HIAB licence (Lorry Loader Certificate) – remote and/or hook/grab preferred
* CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* At least 2 years' commercial driving experience
* Strong customer service skills and a team player attitude
* A responsible, safety-first approach to work
