Flexible People are seeking a number of reliable and professionalClass 2 HGV Driversto join a busy and well-established logistics operation, based in Reading.This is a Monday to Friday role offering consistent hours and competitive pay.The start times are anywhere between 04:00 07:00 - all shifts are all approximately 10-hours long.The Pay rate is £19.32 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)About the Role -As a driver, you will play a key role in delivering excellent service to customers while ensuring efficient and compliant transport operations.Key Responsibilities - Deliver and collect laundry and linen between the depot and customer sites Act as a professional Service Ambassador, providing excellent customer service Accurately record deliveries and collections using a PDA or route manifest Ensure compliance with all road transport legislation and company procedures Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks, reporting any defects Load and unload cages, including handling clean and soiled (bagged) linen Maintain safety and security of vehicles, goods, and third parties at all times Follow allocated delivery routes and schedules efficiently Report customer queries and feedback using the correct processes Attend driver debriefs and communicate any updates or opportunities Requirements - Valid Class 2 (Category C) License Up-to-date Driver CPC Valid Digital Tachograph Card No more than 6 penalty points on licence Good understanding of commercial transport legislation Previous experience in a professional logistics environment Skills & Attributes - Strong customer focus and communication skills Excellent organisation and attention to detail Ability to problem-solve and make decisions independently Flexible, reliable, and responsive to customer needs Basic PC literacy Professional, polite, and well-presented at all times What Youll Get - Competitive hourly rate of £19.32 (including holiday pay) Regular MondayFriday working pattern Early starts with consistent 10-hour shifts Opportunity to work within a supportive logistics teamAn opportunity to become a permanent member of staff after a minimum of 13 weeks full time workIf youre a dependable Class 2 driver looking for a stable, weekday role with great pay, wed love to hear from you.Please note, that by applying for this role you are agreeing to being contacted about work and to having your details saved to our secure database.JBRP1_UKTJ
