Class 1 Night Driver

We are currently recruiting Night HGV Days Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join a well-established and growing logistics operation based in Barnsley.

This role involves driving articulated vehicles (Class 1 / C+E), completing a variety of deliveries including store deliveries, RDCs, warehouses, general haulage, trunking, and drop & swap work. Drivers may also be required to support a wider national logistics network when needed.

Shift Pattern

Any 5 from 7 - 16:00pm-21:00pm start window. Each shift will last anywhere between 8 to 10 hours long.

The rate of pay for this position is £19 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

This role typically involves long-distance driving, trunking between sites, and deliveries to major distribution centres, stores, and warehouses. Drivers must follow strict drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations and carry out full vehicle safety checks.

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence

DCPC and Digital Tacho Card

*

Good understanding of drivers’ hours and WTD legislation

*

Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly

*

Comply with on-site health & safety procedures

*

Strong communication skills

You must have a valid UK License, no more than 6 points on your driving license. No DD, DR or NI convictions.
