Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver Night Shift

£18.75 p/h

Pertemps have an excellent opportunity for Class 1 HGV Shunter Drivers on days to work for our client at East Midlands Gateway. As a Shunter driver you will ensure yard movements are done correctly and support the smooth running of the operation. There is a strong possibility this role will turn permanent with our client.


Shift Patterns / Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday
  • Nights 20:00 to 06:30


The successful Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver will:

  • Have a valid Class 1 License for a minimum of 6 months
  • Have a valid tacho and DQC card
  • Previous experience as a shunter is preferred
  • Have a positive can do attitude


Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver will include:

  • Moving trailers or units around the yard
  • Ensure safety of others in the yard


You will receive:

  • STD - £18.75 per hour
  • OT - £28.12 per hour
