Job Title: Class 1 (HGV) Driver – Trunking (Flatbed)
Location: Widnes Job Type: Temporary – Ongoing Salary: £17.94
Monday – Friday 6.00am start – minimum 10 hour guarantee
Aspion are seeking an experienced and reliable Class 1 (HGV) Driver to work for a company specialising in trunking work using flatbed vehicles. This role involves transporting goods between depots and customer sites, ensuring all loads are secured safely using straps and sheets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of load safety, compliance, and efficient long-distance driving.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out trunking deliveries between distribution centres and customer locations Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles with flatbed trailers Secure loads using ratchet straps, chains, and sheeting in line with safety regulations Ensure all goods are transported safely and arrive on time Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects Accurately complete delivery paperwork and logbooks Adhere to all driving laws, tachograph regulations, and company policies Maintain a high standard of professionalism when representing the company Requirements:
Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Proven experience in trunking work Experience using flatbed trailers Strong knowledge of load securing, including straps and sheeting Good understanding of UK driving laws and regulations At Aspion, our core values have been built around the importance of transparency, innovation, passion and collaboration.
