HGV Class 1 Driver

CTRG Limited are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers to support trunking operations in the Coventry area.

Role Overview

• Job Type: Full-Time / Potential Temp-to-Perm for the Right Candidate
• Work Type: Trunking, Curtain Side
• Shifts: AM & Late Shifts
• Rates: Up to £37.34 per hour

What You'll Be Doing

• Trunking runs from A to B
• Assisting FLT drivers with strapping/unstrapping curtain sides
• No hand balling

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday (weekend shifts available)
• Start times from 02:00 onward

Pay Rates (Hol Inc)

Days - LGV CE

• Standard: £19.43
• Overtime: £24.3
• Sixth Shift: £37.34

Nights - LGV CE

• Standard: £20.73
• Overtime: £25.91

What You'll Need

• Valid UK C+E (Class 1) licence - minimum 12 months experience
• Valid DCPC & Digital Tachograph
• Understanding of Driver Hours & Working Time Directive
• Ability to complete safety checks and report defects
• Strong communicator with a flexible, can-do attitude

Mandatory Checks

Before starting, all candidates must complete and pass:

• Written driving assessment
• Physical driving assessment
• Drug & alcohol screening
