The Best Connection is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Container Drivers for an established client based in Portsmouth. This is ongoing ad-hoc work with regular weekday shifts and weekend work available.

Location: Portsmouth

Hours: 06:00 - 17:00, Monday to Sunday availability

Varying start times depending on routePay Rates: £16.50 - £24.75 p/h PAYE | £18.00 p/h Umbrella

The Role

Driving a Class 1 (C+E) HGV container vehicle
Delivering and collecting containers from docks and customer sites
Entering and exiting ports and dock environments
DP World dock work (certificate required)
Completing vehicle checks and reporting any issues
Maintaining good communication with the transport team

Requirements

Full UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Valid DP World Card
Previous container and dock experience
Good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
