Trainee Commercial Claims Handler


Location: Leeds (Office-based)

Salary: £26,000 to £28,000, plus 30 days holiday, pension, life assurance, support for CII qualifications and private medical


Are you working in personal lines claims or claims management and ready to step into the world of commercial insurance? Or have you had some commercial loss experience and now looking to expand this further?

The Role


This is a fantastic entry point into commercial insurance, ideal for someone with claims experience who is eager to learn and progress.


You’ll be supported by experienced professionals and gradually develop the skills to handle more complex commercial losses.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in managing commercial insurance claims from first notification through to settlement
  • Liaise with insurers, clients, and third parties
  • Support with investigations, documentation, and claim updates
  • Deliver excellent client service throughout the claims process
  • Develop knowledge across a range of commercial risks and policies


About You


  • Background in personal lines claims or claims management
  • Keen to build a long-term career in commercial insurance
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive, motivated, and willing to learn
  • A team player with a customer-focused approach
