Acting as an extension of their recruitment teams, we connect them with skilled interim and temporary professionals, fostering workplaces where everyone can contribute and succeed.\nOn Behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Civil Engineering Lead for a 12 month contract based in Birmingham (Hybrid and Remote candidates will be considered.\n\nCandidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience\n\nPurpose of the role: \nSenior leadership role responsible for the delivery of civil engineering works, providing technical assurance, and coordinating activities across the full project lifecycle, from design through to construction and completion.\n\nWhat you'll do:\n\nManage complex multidisciplinary design projects, including oversight of the commercial, contractual, and technical aspects of the project.\nDevelop detailed design proposals and documents\nLead on interfacing with contractors for large scale infrastructure projects\nCultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients and collaborators.\nCoordinate with internal market and business leaders to develop strategic opportunities.\nServe as senior technical reviewer and QA/QC leader for civil design projects.\nLead civil engineering projects from feasibility through detailed design, ensuring high technical standards and timely delivery\nProduce and review technical documents-drawings, calculations, specifications, reports\nCoordinate multi-disciplinary delivery teams, including engineers and technicians\nManage project risks across health & safety, quality, programme, and cost dimensionsThe skills you'll need:\n\nCivil Engineering Degree\nChartered Engineer (ICE or equivalent)\nExperience working with Grid, Scottish Power Energy Network (SPEN) or SSE\nProven track record on delivering on large scale infrastructure projects\nExperience in leading civil design teams and conducting technical reviewsAbout the client\n\nAbout the client\nArup is an equal opportunity employer that actively promotes and nurtures a diverse and inclusive workforce.
