CIVIL ENGINEER
Birmingham
Ready to make your mark as a Civil Engineer in the Birmingham market? If you have 3 to 4 years' consultancy experience and want a clear route towards leading design packages, this is a strong next step. This Civil Engineer role offers responsibility, progression and flexibility within a successful civil and structural design practice.
You will be joining a well-established consultancy known for technical quality and long-term client relationships across residential and commercial development projects. This Civil Engineer position reports directly to a Director, giving you real influence over design delivery and statutory approvals while supporting your progression towards project leadership.
The role
As a Civil Engineer, you will take ownership of drainage and infrastructure design while working closely with senior colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing detailed designs for private and adoptable drainage schemes
* Producing technical drawings and information for S104, S38 and S278 submissions
* Coordinating with local authorities, clients and internal design teams
* Using AutoCAD, PDS or Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage
* Ensuring technical outputs meet quality and compliance standards
* Supporting project delivery from concept through to approval
About you
This role suits a capable Civil Engineer ready to step up.
You will ideally have:
* 3 to 4 years' experience within a UK civil engineering consultancy
* Strong drainage and infrastructure design experience
* Confident use of AutoCAD and relevant design software
* Good communication and technical problem-solving skills
* Degree or Masters in Civil Engineering or similar
