About the Role
A motivated and skilled Civil Design Engineer is sought to join a collaborative and supportive team, working across a range of residential civil engineering projects in London.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering exposure to a wide variety of developments, with involvement in the planning, detailed design, and construction phases.
The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality design delivery and may occasionally attend site to carry out inspections and technical assessments as required.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed designs for foul and stormwater drainage, watermain networks, and road and street layouts for residential developments.
Produce design drawings, 3D models, and technical reports using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
Carry out hydraulic modelling using Causeway Flow or similar software.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant British standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and local authorities to deliver coordinated project outputs.
Support the preparation of planning documentation, tender packages, and construction supervision.
Attend site visits to perform inspections, gather data, and monitor construction progress.
Contribute to design reviews, quality checks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Essential:
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience in UK residential civil engineering design.
Ideally with UK experience will be considered.
Strong understanding of foul and stormwater drainage design, water supply networks, and road geometry.
Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
Experience with Causeway Flow or similar hydraulic modelling tools.
Knowledge of British Codes of Practice.
Familiarity with UK planning and construction processes.
Full clean driving licence.
