Job Description

We are recruiting for a Civil Design Engineer to work on the designs of railway assets on a large rail project in Birmingham. \n\nJob Requirements:\n\nProduce design deliverables, including drawings, reports, and specifications, in line with applicable Railway Group and Network Rail standards, as well as client requirements.\nCollaborate with construction teams to ensure designs are practical, buildable, and deliver value for money.\nWork closely with the wider design team to maintain consistency and quality across all project deliverables.\nDevelop and implement efficient, innovative, and value-driven design solutions that meet both technical and project requirements.\nPrepare and review engineering designs and calculations.\nProduce and verify technical documents and reports.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, with particular focus on CDM Regulations.\nProvide project administration support to the Project Manager, including monitoring programme delivery, resources, and budgets.\nCarry out checks to ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System and contribute to its ongoing development.\nDemonstrate the ability to work independently, supervise others, review and approve work, and sign off design certificates on behalf of the company.\nUndertake conceptual, outline, and detailed design of engineering solutions, including the presentation of design options.\nDeliver work in accordance with agreed programme, budget, and specification.\nMaintain effective communication with clients and third parties
