Elusav Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for a Civil and structural Design Manager for a leading European engineering contractor based on a data centre project in Helsinki, Finland. The position will be responsible for all Design & Project Coordination activities on the data centre projects from inception through to completion. Contractor are delivering all scopes on the project - CSA, MEP. Schedule and lead project design meetings as required Liaising with clients, consultants and project stakeholders as required on all design issues Assist in developing Design Delivery Schedule along with client, Project Manager, Design team and consultants. Negotiate and procure the design scope-of-work, deliverables and design schedule with consulting firms from initial tender inquiry to appointment and ensure design is prioritized according to project requirements. Closely track design deliverables to ensure project milestones are met and review completed design is accurate and precise, and provide continuous input to optimize design Implement and control design change management system and Track and manage internal and external design and cost issues. Implement recovery strategy if slippage is detected. Collaborate on new design issues/changes and research projects with team. Implement, track and manage project design trackers including permits, building control, RFI's, technical submittals. Participate in departmental strategic planning.

Requirements:

Background in Civil, structural or Architectural engineering (Bachelor’s degree in Architectural / Structural / Civil could be acceptable). Minimum 4 years of experience in the Construction industry.
