The Role My client is looking for a 3rd line Cisco Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will have some really exciting projects to start with! The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of secure, high-performing networks. This includes hands-on configuration, proactive monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration with internal cloud, security, and infrastructure teams. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. Configure and troubleshoot routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and switching technologies (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel). Manage and monitor network security solutions, including firewalls (Cisco ASA, Firepower), VPNs, and remote access platforms. Provide 3rd-line support and escalate critical incidents when required. Participate in network documentation, audits, and performance analysis. Work closely with clients and internal teams during project delivery phases. Requirements Current CCNP certification (Enterprise or Security preferred). Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a Network Engineer role. In-depth knowledge of Cisco networking technologies. Experience with firewall configuration, site-to-site and client VPNs. Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset. Clear and professional communication skills. Desirable Experience Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure/AWS). Exposure to Meraki, Fortinet, or Palo Alto. Network automation skills (Ansible, Python, etc.). SD-WAN technologies.
