Scottish Gas Murrayfield is one of Scotland's most iconic venues, delivering world-class events all year round. As we prepare for our busy festive season, we are looking for a driven and organised Events Executive to support the planning, sales and delivery of our Christmas events programme.
This is a fixed-term role focused on creating, selling and delivering a memorable Christmas offering, including party nights, private festive events and corporate celebrations.
You will play a key role across the full event lifecycle - from generating enquiries and converting sales, through to coordinating suppliers and ensuring seamless event delivery.
Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7 | 37.5 Hours Per Week - Fixed Term Contract until 18 January 2027
What you'll be doing
As our Events Executive, you'll support the full event lifecycle - from generating enquiries and securing bookings through to coordinating suppliers and delivering seamless events.
Sales & Revenue Generation
Support the promotion and sale of Christmas party nights and private festive events
Respond to inbound enquiries and convert them into confirmed bookings
Proactively generate new business through outreach, networking and client engagement
Prepare proposals, quotations and contracts tailored to client requirements
Work towards and support delivery of revenue targets for the festive season
Event Planning & Coordination
Plan and coordinate all aspects of Christmas events from confirmation through to delivery
Liaise with internal teams (operations, catering, marketing) to ensure smooth execution
Coordinate external suppliers including entertainment, décor, AV and theming
Develop event schedules, function sheets and operational briefs
Ensure all event details are captured accurately and communicated effectively
Administration & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of enquiries, bookings and client interactions within the CRM system
Track sales performance and support reporting on revenue and conversion
Maintain strong organisation of event documentation and timelines

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, hands-on and passionate about delivering exceptional service.
Essential
Experience in events, sales, hospitality or a customer-facing role
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident working with clients and delivering a high level of service
Commercially aware with an interest in sales and revenue generation
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Desirable
Experience delivering large-scale or seasonal events (e.g. Christmas parties, corporate events)
Knowledge of venue or event operations
Experience coordinating suppliers and event logistics
Familiarity with CRM systems
