CHP Maintenance Engineer \nResponsibilities:\nTravel to customer sites across the UK to carry out routine servicing and first-response breakdowns on CHP units ranging from 30kW to 500kW\nPerform a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, with occasional overnight stays depending on site location\nProduce detailed site service reports, clearly identifying faults, remedial actions, and improvement opportunities\nLiaise effectively with customers, service coordinators, and the wider technical team to ensure smooth service delivery\nProvide technical support to colleagues and contribute to the wider technical support function\nSupport internal and customer training activities where required\nMaintain strict health & safety standards, including completion of risk assessments and method statements\nAct as a professional brand ambassador, representing the business to a high technical and ethical standardRequirements:\nMinimum 3 years’ experience as a CHP Service or Maintenance Engineer, or within a closely related power generation role\nStrong practical knowledge of LTHW hot water systems, including pumps, inverter drives, flow rates, delta T, boilers, and BMS interfaces\nSolid electrical engineering knowledge of LV power generation and distribution systems\nExperience with CHP control and monitoring platforms such as ComAp, Web Supervisor, InteliMonitor, LiteEdit, TEM / TPEM\nComfortable working with diagnostic equipment including flue gas analysers and digital flow / temperature profiling tools\nConfident working independently in the field while maintaining strong communication with office-based teams\nPositive, proactive mindset with strong customer-facing skills\nWillingness to travel, cover high mileage, and stay away from home when requiredEssential Qualifications:\n\nMechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification\n18th Edition (IEE Wiring Regulations)\nStrong IT skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experience using laptop-based engine control software\nManufacturer training (e.g. MWM)\nGas Safe certificationPackage & Benefits:\n\nCompetitive salary\nCompany vehicle with optional private use\nPaid overtime and overnight stay allowances\nEnhanced pension scheme, life cover, and health & wellbeing support\n25 days holiday, increasing with length of service\nOngoing training and manufacturer-led courses\nLong-term, stable career within a supportive and technically focused teamIf you’re an experienced CHP Engineer with a strong mechanical and electrical background and are looking for a field-based role with a well-established power solutions business in the West Midlands, this opportunity is well worth exploring.\n Referrals are welcome, and a referral bonus is available for successful introductions
