What you will do:
Manage a complex and diverse Children and Families caseload, conducting thorough assessments and reviews.
Prepare comprehensive welfare reports and attend court as necessary, advocating for the best interests of children.
Lead and support a dedicated team, providing supervision and guidance to ensure top-notch care and services.
Collaborate with partners and other professionals to create effective care plans that promote the welfare of families.
Travel around the county of Kent to support children and families, often requiring you to transport people and equipment to rural locations.
Requirements:
A degree in Social Work, DipSW or equivalent, with completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
Post-qualification experience in managing complex children and families caseloads, including assessments and care plan reviews.
Strong team and partnership working skills, with a focus on improving children's and families' lives.
The role requires mobility across Kent, beyond just public transport, to ensure flexible and quick support to families in need.
