Responsibilities of this role: Prepare for involvement by understanding each child’s journey and family situation. Assess children’s needs, risks, and parents’ ability to change, keeping the child’s safety and wellbeing central. Create, review, and deliver tailored plans with families to support positive outcomes, using a whole-family approach. Work directly with children, families, and carers to understand their experiences and help improve their lives. Respond to safeguarding concerns by following policies and procedures when harm is suspected. Collaborate with other agencies to ensure the best support for children and families. Support families early to avoid crisis, but respond effectively when crises occur, including using legal measures if needed. Keep case records accurate, timely, and respectful, following practice standards. Take part in meetings and decision-making forums, and lead meetings when needed.
