Childrens Senior Residential Support Worker

What We Offer Competitive hourly rate Sleep-in allowance (£60 per sleep) Structured rota with flexibility Opportunities for additional responsibilities within the home Supportive team environment Key Responsibilities To undertake a lead role in ensuring the care and welfare of each child in placement.
To give guidance and support to all Residential Workers.
To be responsible for the supervision of designated members of staff and to record this in the Supervision Sheet on the member of staff's file.
To raise any concerns with the Registered Manager as appropriate.
Provide safe, nurturing, and therapeutic care for children and young people Support with daily living tasks (cooking, shopping, laundry, independence skills) Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Administer medication in line with care plans Maintain accurate records and clear communication Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies Encourage participation in decision-making and education Transport young people to school, appointments, and family contact Uphold safeguarding, equality, and confidentiality standards Working Pattern Rota-based: days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays Flexibility required for short-notice changes Essential Requirements Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Children and Young People in Residential Care Full UK Driving Licence Experience in a childrens residential setting Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team Strong communication and record-keeping skills Commitment to safeguarding and professional standards Applications without BOTH the qualification and driving licence will not be considered.
