About the Role: We are recruiting a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join a childrens residential learning disability service in the Swadlincote area. This is a key role within the home, supporting the management team while providing high-quality, child-centred care to children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs. As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead shifts, act as a role model for the staff team and support the delivery of safe, structured and nurturing care in line with Ofsted regulations and best practice.
Key Responsibilities: Providing direct care and support to children and young people with learning disabilities and complex needs Leading shifts and acting as the senior on duty when required Supporting and mentoring Support Workers to deliver high standards of care Assisting with care planning, risk assessments and behaviour support plans Promoting safeguarding, positive behaviour support and trauma-informed practice Supporting daily routines, education, appointments and activities Maintaining accurate records and contributing to reports and handovers Working closely with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager
