Childrens Registered Manager Established EBD & LD Childrens Home

Location:Stoke on Trent

Pay:£50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year

Position: Full Time - Permanent

Balfor are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and experienced Registered Manager to lead an established childrens home supporting young people aged 517 with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties EBD and Learning Disabilities. The home is already open and currently supports three children, with a dedicated and settled staff team in place.

Role Overview

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care and a nurturing environment for all young people. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining Ofsted registration and ensuring the home consistently meets all regulatory and quality standards.
• Leading, mentoring, and developing the staff team, promoting a positive, child-centered culture.
• Overseeing person-centered care planning, ensuring each young person receives tailored, therapeutic, and outcome-focused support.
• Driving continuous improvement across the service to ensure safe, high-quality practice.
• Providing strong, visible leadership, modelling best practice in the support of children with EBD and LD.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Recent experience as a Childrens Home Registered Manager.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Proven experience supporting children with EBD and/or Learning Disabilities in a residential setting.
• At least 2 years experience managing a residential staff team.
• Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and multi-agency working.
• A track record of achieving at least a Good Ofsted rating within the last two years.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• A full driving license and access to a vehicle.
• An enhanced DBS.
