We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Children & Young People Trainee Assessor to join our dynamic team. This paid internship position offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in assessing and supporting children and young people within various mental health, behavioral, and developmental contexts. As a Trainee Assessor, you will play a vital role in conducting comprehensive evaluations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to personalised care plans that promote positive outcomes for young clients. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adolescents through evidence-based assessment and intervention strategies.

Responsibilities

* Ensure the highest training standards by adapting to learner needs.

* Cover a regional area and travel to learners' workplaces for assessments.

* Complete Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and outline personalised learning pathways.

* Reference and evaluate evidence collected in the workplace to meet key skill requirements.

* Maintain accurate records of learner attendance and guided contact hours, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.

* Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and achievement of set performance targets.

* Arrange additional training through day release and provide in-house training support as needed.

* Keep detailed records of clients' achievements to meet the performance criteria established by relevant awarding bodies.

Requirements

* Proven occupational experience and technical competence in Health and Social Care delivery.

* Full driving license and access to a vehicle.

* Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.

Desirable

* Relevant training experience and a recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g., A1 Assessor Award, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent)

* Welsh speaking
