Role: Child Care Solicitor
Experience: Qualified Solicitor (Childcare Panel Membership Required)
Based: Duffield
Offer: £60,000 – £70,000

We are recruiting for a Child Care Solicitor to join a growing Family Department within a supportive and client-focused firm. This is a meaningful opportunity to work on a mix of publicly funded and fee-paying care matters, making a real impact on families’ lives.

Typical duties would include: 

• Managing a caseload of care proceedings from instruction through to completion

• Progressing client matters efficiently with clear communication

• Representing clients in court hearings and key meetings.

• Working closely with social services, guardians and external agencies to support case outcomes.

• Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations

• Assisting with marketing and business development initiatives where appropriate.

The successful candidate:

• Is a qualified solicitor with experience in child care law.

• Is a member of the Childcare Panel.

• Has strong advocacy, communication and client care skills.

• Is confident managing their own caseload independently.

• Demonstrates strong organisation, attention to detail and resilience.

• Takes a proactive approach to compliance and professional development.
