The Chief Solution Architect (CSA) is a senior role within the Digital, Data and Technology leadership team. The post holder will be accountable for creating and producing solution designs for multiple applications, services, and infrastructure within the organization.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer and working daily with various portfolios and programs, the role involves overseeing the design and planning of solution architectures, defining, and implementing standards and best practices for digital solutions.

The Chief Solution Architect will serve as a subject matter expert, producing and presenting policies, designs, and recommendations aligned with business strategies and requirements.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Advise senior staff to prefer enterprise solutions over supplier proposed solutions.
• Persuade senior staff to adopt standard enterprise IT solutions and services.
• Negotiate with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value-for-money services.
• Collaborate with the Director of System Programmes to establish shared services best practices.
• Ensure the team’s knowledge aligns with strategic business plans.
• Maintain visibility of current and future state architectures, keeping digital leadership informed and consulted.
• Communicate and apply architecture processes effectively.
• Maintain the Architecture repository and associated tools.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, external partners, and patients through various channels.
