Chief Medical Officer – UK (Early-Stage Neurology / Epilepsy Programme)


We’re looking for an experienced clinical leader to join an early-stage biotech company on the cusp of its first-in-human epilepsy programme. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll help shape the clinical strategy from day one.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the design and execution of early-phase clinical studies, including first-in-human trials
  • Guide clinical trial strategy, drug delivery approaches, and programme development
  • Provide expertise in neurophysiology to inform study design, biomarker selection, and endpoint decisions
  • Collaborate closely with the executive team and external partners to drive progress in a fast-moving environment
  • Operate in a nimble, early-stage setting where decisions are swift and impact is tangible


Who we’re looking for:

  • Seasoned clinical leader with early-phase neuroscience experience, ideally in epilepsy or neurology
  • Strong grounding in neurophysiology, capable of translating mechanistic insights into clinical trial strategy
  • Comfortable designing and running early clinical studies, bridging science, medicine, and strategy
  • Excited by the challenge of shaping programmes in a dynamic biotech setting


Location: UK-based, flexible working
