Parkinson Lee Executive Search are the retained partners to a privately owned, high-performing UK manufacturing specialist group is seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to join its Executive Team, with a clear pathway to CEO leadership over the medium term.
The business has operated nationally for over 50 years gaining a reputation a strong reputation for quality and service within their market. With a turnover c.£120M, a strong cash position and a large directly employed workforce, the group is entering its next phase of strategic evolution.
This role is designed for an ambitious, commercially driven CFO who wants to move beyond finance and play a central role in shaping the future direction of the business, ultimately stepping into a CEO position as part of a planned succession.
The Role:
Act as a strategic partner to the Founder & CEO and Group Board
Lead Finance, while also overseeing IT, HR, Payroll and Procurement
Drive growth strategy, margin improvement and operational performance
Use data, ERP, technology and AI to improve insight and efficiency
Play a key role in long-term succession planning and potential MBO activity
The Candidate Profile:
CFO / Finance Director with the gravitas to move into a CEO appointment, ideally with experience of managing teams outside of finance.
Background in manufacturing or industrial sectors
Commercially astute, operationally engaged and leadership-oriented
Clear ambition to progress into a broader CEO / Managing Director role
