This role is for Chief Finance Officer at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Dyfed-Powys Police. Salary: £94,890 – £101,130 per annum. Location: Office of Police and Crime Commissioner, Police Headquarters, Carmarthen (hybrid/remote option). Contract: Fixed Term, 2 years. Hours: 37 per week. Job description

The appointee will play a key role in advising and supporting the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC). The main responsibilities include providing the PCC with a sound financial strategy, day‑to‑day oversight of the PCC’s budget, and ensuring effective financial scrutiny of all constabulary activities and commissioned services. You will join a small professional team delivering high‑quality support services aligned to strategy, resource planning, partnership working, commissioning, service delivery, engagement, information management, and performance evaluation. The statutory Chief Finance Officer will maintain the highest standards of financial management and probity, translating ideas into action through an innovative yet fiscally sound approach. Candidates must be professionally qualified (CCAB) and have senior‑level experience in financial management and scrutiny with a proven track record of translating strategy into action.
