We're currently recruiting an ambitious Chef Manager to help us create exceptional food experiences on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

As a Chef Manager, you will be responsible for both the culinary offer and the day-to-day management of the catering operation, delivering an outstanding food and service experience. Your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing and delivering delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers

Managing and leading the kitchen and catering team, creating a positive and supportive working environment

Identifying opportunities to improve food quality, service delivery and operational efficiency

Delivering our food concepts and standards consistently

Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image

Managing ordering, stock control and minimising food waste

Overseeing kitchen cleaning and ensuring excellent hygiene standards are maintained

Managing budgets, controlling costs and meeting financial targets

Ensuring compliance with Food Handling & Hygiene standards

Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations

Supporting recruitment, training and development of team members

Our ideal Chef Manager will:
Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ or equivalent qualification

Have experience in a similar Chef Manager or senior catering management role

Be a strong leader who can motivate and develop a team

Be an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationships

Be commercially aware with strong financial and cost control skills

Strive for excellence with an enthusiastic and proactive approach

Take initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers and clients

Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrate excellent timekeeping, reliability and organisational skills

Have a safety-first mindset

Be passionate about food and service
