Job Purpose

We are looking for a Change Manager with solid project management experience to support and lead business and organisational change initiatives. You will champion the human side of change, helping staff transition through transformation projects and ensuring that change is effectively embedded and sustained.


Key Responsibilities

Change Management Leadership

  • Lead change impact assessments and create strategies to manage and minimise resistance.
  • Develop and implement change plans including communication, stakeholder engagement, training, and business readiness activities.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to align change and delivery plans.

Organisational Development

  • Collaborate with HR and Learning & Development to ensure support for staff through change.
  • Drive culture change initiatives, aligning behaviours and values with organisational objectives.
  • Ensure effective tracking of change adoption, benefits realisation, and continuous feedback loops.

Project & Programme Delivery Support

  • Input to project planning, governance, and reporting – ensuring change components are well-integrated into programme deliverables.
  • Identify risks associated with change readiness, adoption, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Support the development of business cases and benefit management frameworks for change-focused projects.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop strong relationships with leaders, managers, and staff at all levels.
  • Deliver change workshops, focus groups, and tailored communications to support stakeholder involvement.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on organisational and behavioural change.


Person Specification

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong track record delivering organisational change and transformation
  • Ability to lead on stakeholder engagement, communication and business readiness
  • Experience conducting change impact assessments and managing resistance to change
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills; emotionally intelligent with a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to support project governance and ensure alignment between project and change delivery
  • Experience measuring benefits realisation and change adoption
  • Strong understanding of project delivery environments – essential

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Formal change management certification (e.g., Prosci, APMG) – essential
  • Project management experience or certification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) – desirable

Sector Experience:

  • Experience in public sector, or complex organisations – essential
