SP Energy Networks is part of the ScottishPower Group of companies. We provide power on behalf of supply companies through a network of cables and power lines that we own and maintain.
Through our transmission and distribution network we provide power to customers in Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and North Shropshire as well as Central and Southern Scotland.
Business and Department
The successful applicant will lead and manage a variety of strategic improvement and transformation initiatives aligned with the pursuit of our Strategic Plans. You will work on projects that enhance SP Energy Networks as an organisation and our Customers experience, extracting the maximum value from business opportunities presented in the fulfilment of our regulatory obligations in accordance with our Distribution and Transmission price control contracts with Ofgem. You will lead on project activities leveraging subject matter experts in the business to identify and prioritise areas for improvement, identify solutions and activities to address business problems and manage the implementation and people side of change to successful conclusion to agreed level of quality and within available budget and timescale, whilst successfully managing the stakeholders impacted by the project, including our Directors.
Accountabilities
Drive strategic change in the organisation to achieve SPEN strategic goals
Lead assigned projects to successful delivery and achievement of benefits
Build relationships and manage stakeholders throughout the organisation
Lead and coach continuous improvement to improve business results
Champion innovation & look for opportunities to improve business performance
Facilitate and role model change supporting strategic business goals
Operate with agility to adapt to changing situations & business demands quickly
Lead people side of change using Prosci Change Management framework
Identify, establish and monitor performance measures to validate success
Collaborate with business stakeholders to maintain support and buy-in
Develop Business Cases and identify key performance tracking metrics
Requirements
Previously accredited or willing to work towards certifications: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Prosci Change Practitioner, Agile Scrum Master
Proven ability to implement change in a complex multi-national organisation
Able to set stretch goals & deadlines aligned with business and customer priorities
Able to empower and encourage development of individuals and project teams

Able to undertake occasional travel to other SP Energy Networks locations
Minimum Criteria
Experience of leading business projects & managing stakeholders in a complex business
Demonstrable evidence of planning, organising, prioritising to deliver results on time
Use of Change Management, Agile, Lean Sigma, or other improvement methods
Leveraged resources outside of span of control, ideally within a large organisation
Degree qualified in Business, Engineering, Technical or related discipline or minimum 5yrs related business experience
