This is a high‑impact role focused on driving meaningful behavioural and cultural change, ensuring business users fully understand, adopt, and realise value from a unified enterprise skills platform. You will lead change beyond system go‑live—embedding skills into workforce planning, talent decisions, and employee experience to deliver measurable and sustainable business outcomes.

The Role

As Change & Deployment Lead, you will be accountable for:

  • End‑to‑end change delivery, communications, and rollout strategy
  • Post go‑live adoption, value realisation, and continuous optimisation
  • Embedding a skills‑based culture across the organisation

You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders across Technology, HR, Data, and the business, influencing at scale and delivering adoption at pace—always aligned to HSBC’s values.

Key Responsibilities

Change Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute an integrated change and deployment approach aligned to HSBC priorities and ways of working
  • Define and communicate a compelling change narrative that clearly articulates why skills matter and how they support future workforce needs
  • Partner closely with Enterprise Technology and delivery teams to align change activity with release schedules and support models
  • Proactively identify and address adoption risks and barriers early

Change Implementation & Adoption

  • Lead end‑to‑end rollout planning and integration into business‑as‑usual
  • Design and deliver stakeholder engagement, communications, and training strategies to maximise adoption
  • Define adoption KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadence
  • Drive targeted interventions where adoption or value realisation is lagging
  • Work with HR and business leaders to embed skills into core talent processes such as recruitment, performance, and workforce planning

Stakeholder Engagement & Communications

  • Build strong relationships across diverse business user groups
  • Tailor messaging for different audiences, from senior sponsors to end users
  • Facilitate workshops, demos, town halls, and feedback sessions
  • Establish and activate a network of change champions / skills ambassadors

User Onboarding & Enablement

  • Design and deliver onboarding and enablement materials, including guides, walkthroughs, FAQs, and role‑based learning journeys
  • Support user readiness and early‑life support activities
  • Move beyond training to capability building—ensuring users can confidently apply skills insights in decision‑making

Documentation & Insights

  • Produce clear, user‑friendly documentation covering:
  • Skills framework structure and end‑to‑end experience
  • Dashboard navigation, filters, and use cases
  • Data interpretation guidance to ensure insights are used responsibly

Governance & Risk Management

  • Ensure delivery aligns with HSBC governance frameworks, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and sensitivities
  • Report progress, adoption status, and key issues into governance forums
  • Define and manage adoption governance, escalation, and ownership frameworks

People & Culture

  • Lead the cultural shift from roles to skills‑based thinking
  • Encourage internal mobility, continuous learning, and skills‑driven decisions
  • Identify and address cultural resistance and trust in data
  • Promote inclusive, transparent, and sustainable change practices

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong background in organisational change management within complex, matrixed environments
  • Proven success driving adoption through communications, onboarding, and enablement
  • Experience leading post go‑live adoption and realising measurable business value
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to define, monitor, and act on adoption and value metrics

Desirable:

  • Experience within skills‑based organisations, talent marketplaces, or workforce transformation programmes
  • Experience working across Technology, HR/People, Data, Governance, and Communications
  • Relevant professional qualifications (Change Management, Project Management, etc.)
