Key Duties

Operate and set up manual centre lathes to produce high-quality components. Carry out precision machining, turning, milling, and fitting of components. Interpret technical drawings and follow specifications accurately. Measure and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Work within a skilled machine shop environment across various industries.

Requirements

Time-served Turner / Toolmaker with proven manual machining experience. Proficiency in operating and setting up manual centre lathes (e.g. Colchester Mascot 1600, Binns and Berry Trident L850). Strong knowledge of machining processes and tools. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Experience with precision measurement techniques and inspection tools.
