Job Description

A leading multi-disciplinary professional consultancy is seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer Health and Safety Consultant to join their growing team.\nYou will be part of a close-knit team of three, delivering CDM and construction safety services across retail fit-out and refurbishment projects for leading, retailers.\nThis Principal Designer Health and Safety Consultant role offers hybrid working (50:50 split between home and office/site) with minimal travel requirements, c2 days away per month.\nFull time or part time considered.\nKey Responsibilities of a Principal Designer Health and Safety Consultant\n * Acting as CDM Principal Designer under CDM Regulations.\n * Advising clients on their duties and ensuring compliance.\n * Preparing and reviewing pre-construction information.\n * Coordinating design risk management.\n * Liaising with contractors, designers and clients.\n * Conducting site visits and inspections.\n * Undertaking site Health and Safety reviews and producing reports for Clients.\n * Supporting ongoing health and safety compliance across projects.\nExperience\n * Minimum 5+ years’ experience in CDM PD / Construction Health and Safety.\n * Background in retail, fit-out, or retail park developments is beneficial.\nQualifications\n * Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in a construction related subject.\n * You will ideally hold or be working towards CMaPS and or CMIOSH.\nThis Principal Designer Health and Safety Consultant role has a salary of £40k – £55k, plus £300–£500 per month car allowance, pension and more
