KYC/CDD Analyst – Investment Management

Location:London

Salary:£45,000 pa to £50,000 pa

A leading investment firm looking to strengthen their Financial Crime Prevention function. They’re seeking an experienced KYC/CDD professional to play a pivotal role in client onboarding and ongoing due diligence across their UK and European operations.

Overview of the Role

You will focus on high-quality Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews. This includes onboarding of new clients, carrying out regular and event-driven assessments, and managing daily name screening activity.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage the full lifecycle of client onboarding, from initial due diligence through to approval.
    • Carry out scheduled and ad-hoc reviews to ensure up-to-date and accurate client records.
    • Monitor daily name screening alerts and follow up on any matches in a timely manner.
    • Serve as a go-to expert on KYC for the first line of defence, offering guidance on regulatory obligations and internal procedures.
    • Act as a liaison point for internal and external stakeholders on CDD/KYC-related queries and ensure timely resolution of escalations.
    • Collaborate closely with the second line of defence, escalating issues when necessary and proposing solutions based on in-depth AML knowledge.
    • Contribute to the production of MI reports and provide data insights to support risk and compliance functions.
    • Review and update internal procedures and documentation to ensure alignment with evolving regulations and internal policies.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

    • At least two years’ experience within investment management, asset management, or investment banking, with a strong focus on corporate and institutional client structures.

Skills and Knowledge

    • An understanding of AML legislation and regulatory frameworks in the UK and EU.
    • Practical expertise across the full KYC lifecycle.
    • Familiarity with a wide range of legal entity types and ownership structures.
    • Proven ability to interpret policy and translate it into process.
