- Build and implement category strategy focused on cost, compliance, and performance
- Partner with stakeholders across operations, HR, and finance
- Lead supplier engagement, negotiations, and contract management
- Deliver sourcing activity, tenders, and commercial outcomes
- Identify and drive cost-saving and value improvement opportunities
What we’re looking for
- Background in indirect procurement (labour experience not essential)
- Currently a Buyer / Senior Buyer ready to step into Category Management
- Strong commercial mindset with good analytical capability
- Confident stakeholder engagement and ability to influence
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving environment
Why this role
- Clear step into a Category Manager position with real ownership
- High-value, high-visibility spend area (£50m)
- Supportive leadership and strong development opportunity
- Fast-paced business where you can make an immediate impact
- Great culture and collaborative environment
If you’re looking to take that next step into Category Management and want exposure to a complex, high-value category, this is a brilliant opportunity.
