Class 1 Casual Driver Location : Avonmouth Shift : Zero hour contract, casual Do you have a UK Class 1 CE Licence? If 'YES,' we want to hear from you! About the Role As a Class 1 Casual Driver, you will: Deliver goods to retail stores on a dedicated contract using curtain side, tail lift, and box trailers, while returning store waste to the depot. Complete an average of 1 to 3 delivery drops per shift in line with schedule and route planning. Ensure all loads are safely and securely restrained using straps, nets, and appropriate securing equipment to prevent movement or damage during transit. Safely operate electric-assisted pallet trucks and carry out manual handling for cage-based deliveries when required, ensuring efficient and safe unloading at customer sites. Manage trailer movements, including the collection and return of trailers for servicing at the end of each shift. Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability. Maintain regular communication with the transport office to provide updates on delivery progress and respond to any changes or issues in real time.
