The Property & Facilities team at Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) is dedicated to delivering excellent service and experience for staff, students, and visitors across all campuses. Our friendly catering staff provide varied and delicious menus across campuses, offering both hot and cold drink options through Espresso Labs and a range of tasty food in our restaurants, so that students, staff, and visitors can enjoy great service and fresh choices.Currently, we have a number of opportunities for Casual Catering Assistants to join us on a 12-week basis to support summer business during language schools and other hospitality business over the summer months.The Role:As a Casual Catering Assistant, you will enjoy all the benefits of working for ENU at one of our modern campuses in the heart of Edinburgh.Your previous experience of working in a catering/food service environment will come in handy here, as you serve meals to students, staff and external visitors, ensure your working environment is clean and hygienic at all times, operate the till and monitor food stocks and kitchen equipment.Over and above this, we just need you to be presentable, adaptable and in a position to take on shifts covering 5 days over 7 (includes weekends).Reliability is key to us, as we want to maintain the high standards that we offer to all of our service users.So, if you have some good experience and can do 4-7 hour shifts, between the hours of 6:45am 9pm then we would love to hear from you.In return, we will pay you an excellent hourly rate (Real Living Wage) and over the 6 weeks you will also accrue paid holiday entitlement to compliment your earnings.We have 15 positions available and will be interviewing for these posts on a rolling basis, so please apply as soon as you can if you are interested.What we will need from you:-Catering and food service experience-Honesty and Reliability-Excellent communication skills-High level of personal hygiene-Ability to contribute as part of a teamBenefits we offer:Annual leave allowance will be based on the standard annual entitlement of 41 days.Additional information:Salary: £13:45 p/hContract:Casual, 12 weeks, 4 7 hour shifts, 5 days over 7 (including weekends)Interviews: Week commencing 18th May 2026The University is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role on the Skilled Worker visa route.
