Long-term Temporary Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Caretaker to join their team, working on social housing blocks of flats in and around Middleton.

Caretaker Role Overview:

Work in teams of two to maintain cleanliness and safety across multiple housing blocks.
Carry out minor maintenance and cleaning duties.
Drive the company vehicle – a full UK driving licence is required.
Caretaker Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Housekeeping:

Sweep, mop, and vacuum stairs, landings, and communal areas.
Wipe down handrails, banisters, and surfaces.
Empty bins and replace liners.
Clean windows, glass surfaces, and vents.
Spot clean walls and remove scuff marks.
Maintenance & Upkeep:

Check and report maintenance issues (e.g., broken lights, loose handrails).
Replace bulbs and carry out minor fixes.
Deep clean stair treads, skirting boards, and high-touch points.
Remove clutter, bag and dispose of rubbish, and manage bulky waste.
Outdoor Cleaning & General Duties:

Maintain the cleanliness of shared outdoor spaces.
Litter picking, jet washing, and general upkeep.
Carry out other ad hoc duties as required.
