Due to continued growth and strategic development, we are seeking an experienced care manager to join our senior leadership team.
Location: London (multi-site) Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £40k+ per annum, Competitive, Dependent on experience Reporting to: Director / Managing Director
The Role
As Care Manager you will support the Director in providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and organisational development across our domiciliary care and supported living services.
This senior role combines operational accountability for service delivery, quality, staffing, and compliance with strategic responsibilities, including commissioning, partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, funding, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Support the Director in shaping and delivering the organisation’s strategic direction
Contribute to strategic planning, service development, growth strategies, and continuous improvement
Business Development & Growth
Support the Business development manager with mergers, acquisitions, and service expansion, including due diligence and integration
Contribute to market analysis and business case development
Support commissioning activity and new service opportunities
Commissioning & Partnerships
Work closely with local authorities, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), commissioners, housing providers, and partners
Support tender submissions, service proposals, and contract delivery
Build and maintain strong strategic partnerships and external relationships
Funding & Grants
Identify and support applications for grants, funding opportunities, and external investment
Assist with bids, monitoring, and impact reporting
Operational & Quality Oversight
Provide oversight of Registered Managers, Coordinators, and frontline teams
Ensure services are safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led, in line with CQC standards KLOES.
Monitor KPIs, audits, safeguarding, incidents, complaints, and quality improvement plans
People & Culture
Support recruitment, workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development
Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture
Oversee supervision, appraisals, and staff development
Governance & Compliance
Support compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding legislation, the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and health & safety requirements
Assist with risk management, governance reporting, and business continuity planning
About You
You will be a senior with strong operational experience and growing strategic capability.
Essential / Desirable Experience
Senior management experience within domiciliary care and/or supported living or similar
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and quality assurance
Experience working with local authorities, commissioners, and external stakeholders
Proven leadership, people management, and service improvement experience
Ability to contribute to strategic planning, growth, and organisational development
Qualifications
NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care, Leadership & Management
(or significant equivalent experience)
