As a Cook at Thistle Healthcare, you will play a vital role in creating nutritious and delicious meals that cater to the diverse needs of our residents. Your culinary skills will not only nourish our residents but also enhance their quality of life. Working in a Care Home as a Cook can be a challenging, however, a very rewarding role to undertake. Whilst you still have the challenge of ensuring the food you prepare is of a high standard, the hours of work are more sociable and allows you to have a better work, life balance. You will need to know how to adapt meals to make them suitable for residents with different dietary needs and be skilled at creating healthy balanced meals for everyone. You will be aware and responsible for ensuring that good nutritional meals are served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. As well as preparing and cooking meals you may be responsible for managing and ordering the supplies, menu creation and ensuring the kitchen and equipment meets all health and safety requirements.
