Joining our team as a Capital Allowances Assistant Manager in our wider Innovation and Capital Tax Reliefs Group, you will be an integral part of a high-performing tax compliance and advisory team in either Leeds or Manchester while also supporting our other North East teams in Hull and Newcastle. You will be in an environment where you will have the opportunity to accelerate your knowledge, skills and development in a creative, entrepreneurial and supportive team - working with lots of fantastic clients along the way.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Preparing Capital Allowance tax relief claims for submission to HMRC.
  • Reviewing work completed by junior staff for accuracy and completeness, and to provide constructive feedback.
  • Considering the availability of other tax reliefs including revenue relief, Land Remediation Relief and Structures and Buildings Allowances.
  • Assisting in business development activities by targeting opportunities and preparing proposal for our services.
  • Acting as a point of contact on specific Capital Allowance projects for any queries from the wider business.
  • Developing supportive and effective working relationships with members of the team and providing cooperation and input whilst informing others of own activities and progress.

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • Relevant professional qualification, for example ATT, RICS, ACA and/or CTA.
  • Experience in preparing and submitting Capital Allowance tax relief claims in all sectors.
  • Knowledge of claims over a broad range of sectors and different types of capital projects such as new builds, acquisitions, refurbishments, extensions and fit-outs.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
