We are an award-winning insurer and in house medical rehabilitation team, supporting many various health and wellbeing initiatives for customers and their colleagues, including early intervention in sickness absence to enable rehabilitation support for people to return to work. We also heavily support health and wellbeing training and development resources for our customers.

We are seeing more people struggling with various concerns in their cancer journey and realise we can enable more specific support for them. The role is fully supported with comprehensive induction and ongoing training and support.

Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

What will you be doing?

We will support you in using your medical skills to enable an active listening service to support our members in coping with the news of a cancer diagnosis, further explaining possible treatment and surgery pathways, reassuring, and supporting through treatment and its effects, as well as potentially liaising with treating teams.

A significant part of the role will focus on mental and physical wellbeing coaching and for some, rebuilding confidence. Where possible, you will support our customers and their colleagues in their rehabilitation to a point that they feel confident to return to work. We also appreciate that for some on this journey they may not be able to return to work and the support is nonetheless important for them.
