Job DescriptionJob Description Job Summary
The Calibration Technician role at Morehouse Instrument Company involves calibrating force and torque measuring equipment to ASTM and ISO standards, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance. This position supports a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where technicians grow through hands-on experience and contribute to maintaining high-quality calibration services for a global customer base.
Responsibilities
Calibrate force and torque measuring equipment according to applicable ASTM and ISO standards and internal procedures.
Validate calibration results to determine if equipment is in or out of tolerance, ensuring quality standards are met and making necessary adjustments.
Prepare and verify calibration certificates for final approval.
Use a weekly workload schedule to meet production expectations and deliver timely service to customers.
Document abnormal conditions and assess their severity for reporting to quality and customers.
Determine appropriate adapters and fittings for calibration setups and ensure proper storage and maintenance.
Utilize computer programs to run automated calibrations when appropriate.
**Work Schedule:** Full-time, hourly (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) **Location:** York, PA **Pay Range:** $21.00 – $23.00 per hour **Work Conditions:** Primarily indoors; occasional exposure to noise; requires continual walking, standing, sitting, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and carrying; must be able to lift 50 pounds with occasional heavier lifting using team members or lifting devices.
