Cafe / Brasserie Manager Contract Catering Central London Salary up to £40,000 + excellent benefits Monday to Friday and weekends on rotation

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic and experienced Café & Brasserie Manager to lead a busy front-of-house operation within a prestigious education and events venue in Central London.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced, casual dining or café-style environment, delivering great food and friendly, efficient service to a diverse customer base. The operation includes a bustling café / Brasserie serving drinks & light meals throughout the day, a vibrant terrace space, and a Bar & Events space.

You'll be the driving force behind the customer experience—ensuring quick, seamless service, high presentation standards, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day operations across a busy café & Brasserie, terrace, small Bar & Event space. Coordinate & support internal events, meetings, and private functions. Maintain high service speed & quality, even during peak trading times. Drive sales and customer engagement with innovative menu ideas and promotions. Build strong relationships with clients, staff, and stakeholders. Recruit, train, and motivate the FoH team to deliver consistently great service. Oversee stock control, ordering, and budget management to ensure cost efficiency. Quickly and professionally respond to guest feedback and operational challenges. About You: Previous management experience in a busy café, coffee shop, fast-casual dining, or brasserie-style environment. Comfortable in high-volume, fast-paced service with a focus on efficiency and quality. Passionate about good food and creating a welcoming customer experience. Strong commercial understanding, including budgeting and cost control. Excellent people skills, able to inspire and lead a diverse team. Well-organised, adaptable & proactive in solving problems on the go.
