Job Description

Aureos are seeking a CAD Technician to join our HV Cable Design team in Manchester.

The CAD Technician will produce CAD drawings and documents for HV cabling projects in line with Company and Industry Standards, to budget and programme.


Primary tasks and duties


The tasks/duties below are indicative of the works required (not exhaustive)


  • Produce quality drawings using current CAD systems to undertake/assist in design in accordance with quality management system, to meet agreed programmes and budgets.
  • Ensure that the Company Design Assurance is applied to all allocated projects
  • Ensure all works meet the company/client CAD manual requirements
  • Ensure all works satisfy the project requirements for the stage of design


Qualifications and Training


Essential:


  • Formal CAD qualifications to Level 3standard or equivalent.
  • Shall have a sound understanding and experience in using CAD
  • Proven CAD experience of at least 2 years.
  • Possess good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to monitor compliance of delivery.
  • Time management.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.


Desirable:


  • ISO 19650-2 Accreditation process (BIM Level 2 Certification).
  • Eng Tech status within relevant Engineering Council Approved Body (IMechE, ICE, IET, PWI).
  • 3D modelling skills
  • Shall have a sound understanding of the CDM Regulations, specifically the designer’s requirements.
  • Proficient in Office 365 specifically Excel
